Chain Rule- How do you apply it to this form?

y=(u-1/u+1)^.5 u=sqrtx-1 x=34/9Chain Rule- How do you apply it to this form?
The problem doesn't specify the quantity sought, but I'll guess that it's dy/dx at x=34/9

dy/dx = dy/du du/dx ............... chain rule

y = 鈭?(u-1)/(u+1))

dy/du = 1/(2鈭?(u-1)/(u+1))) [ (u+1) - (u-1) ] / (u+1)虏

= 1 / [ 鈭?u - 1) (u + 1)^(3/2) ]

u = 鈭?x-1) ....................................... u=5/3 at x=34/9

du/dx = 1/(2鈭?x-1))

du/dx = 1/(2鈭?34/9 - 1))

= 3/10 ........................................鈥?at x=34/9

dy/du = 1 / [ 鈭?2/3) (8/3)^(3/2) ] ......... u=5/3 when x=34/9

= 1 / [ 16(鈭?2/3))虏/3 ]

= 9/32

dy/dx = (9/32) (3/10) .......................... chain rule

= 27/320

Answer: dy/dx = 27/320

Chain Rule- How do you apply it to this form?
in your y, do the quotient formula
