After applying, how long should it take for a call (if there is one) to get an interview?

I am applying for many different part-time jobs, when should I expect a call back if they are going to?After applying, how long should it take for a call (if there is one) to get an interview?
If you applied online, grant a 24 hour waiting period for them to receive the application. It shouldn't take any longer than this. If you have not heard anything, call. You can check to see if they received it; if they have, ask them when you'll be given a call for an interview. The longest I've ever seen someone take to call me back however, not calling them, was about 2 weeks. It might also be a good idea to see how long your application will be held for (paper or electronic) because this also means that while you might not get a call right away, if they have your application for 6 months, they can still pull it up and call you during that time. Good luck with your hunt! After applying, how long should it take for a call (if there is one) to get an interview?
When you applied, did they tell you when to expect a call. If not, I would wait about 3 days. If you still haven't heard from them, give them a call. Be persistent. It shows that you really would like the position.
That is one thing you can ask on the interview. They usually have an idea of their time-lines when they are dong the interviews. Write down the time they give you and if you haven't heard ans are really interested in the job, then you can call them beck and ask them if they have made a decision yet. Sometimes you might get back in the race with this call. Good luck.
