In the UK how old do you have to be to apply for an overdraft?

Just wondering because I don't want to waste my time applying and then getting turned down.xIn the UK how old do you have to be to apply for an overdraft?
Go to your bank and ask, they'll let you know the best offers. It all depends if you currently have a debit or credit card, your credit history and income. because of the credit crunch at the moment banks are more reluctant to give put overdrafts. make sure you get one that won't charge you!In the UK how old do you have to be to apply for an overdraft?
There is no upper or lower age limit, when you apply for an overdraft the bank will look at how you operate your account, do you allow yourself to go unofficially overdrawn, do you have money going regularly into your account, these are the type of issues the back will take into account when they make their decisions.
Taking the Nat West as a yardstick, they offer no credit facilities to under-18's, and I presume they include overdrafts in this. If you're a student (normally 18-21) with a student account, however, this offers an interest-free overdraft facility on amounts up to 拢1,250 in the first year, rising to 拢2,000 by year 5. {I guess if you were a student you would already know this}.
Depends who you bank with i believe its 18 heres what Barclays say.

I really wouldn't do it though, I have a 拢500 one now and it's taking me forever to pay it off.

If you don't have the money, don't spend it :)
i think you can be 16 with some accounts
18 if you really want it.
