On microsoft powerpoint, how can i apply a song to automatically play as a background for the data show??

i tried

and i put it in the beginning of the data show, so that the music would start with the data show... but then all the other slides won't start until the song is over... i want the song to be a background for ALL the slides...On microsoft powerpoint, how can i apply a song to automatically play as a background for the data show??
1. Click Slide Show


2. Click Slide Transition


3. Click drop-down arrow beside Sound


4. Scroll to the end and choose Other Sound


5. Browse until you find the location of your song.


6. Click Apply To All Slides
